I am flying to Amarillo tomorrow to pick up a trike and I have a bunch of stuff I need to either send back UPS or I have another idea.

I am very mechanical and have tools with me in Amarillo. Can I assemble the Harbor freight tag along trailer in the parking lot ?

This one .

Now assuming I can do it without too much cussing and screaming. Can I tow this without a plate as long as I have the Certificate of Origin showing that I am going to register it in Ca when I get home ?

I would have to go through Texas,New Mexico, AZ and CA to get home.

putting the trailer together should be no problem, and stop at a local dept of motor vehicles, or ask if the dealer can supply you with a temp licsence to get home, or maybe they have a dealer plate to loan and UPS back.
just a few ideas
enjoy the ride home

I wouldn't mess with the plate thing your idea should work if needed. Put it together slowly ( about 2 hours ) and pay particular attention to the torsion alignment or you will need tires when you get back. Repack the bearings really well. Your first problem after it is together is going to be the lights. It is a standard 4 wire boat trailer setup, and the CSC will likely be a EU 5 wire setup, and could also still have the preparatory connector on it if not used before, and changed.

Is the trailer available at the local HF?????

I was in a Harbour Freight the other day and they sold their display trailer for a extra $10 to a guy... he asked and they said sure...

Also if u r into saving a dollar, google Harbour Freight coupon, u can print out a 20% saving coupon from the net..

Good luck.

Good Luck....would really take an exceptionally "picky" Officer in my opinion, if You got a No-Tag Citation with a receipt showin' You just purchased it...common sense should prevail.....ThumbUp

Tom, I know this message has missed you, but just in case you are checking for messages: YES you will need an adaptor to hook up the CSC wiring (5-pin) to the HF or Piggybacker trailer(4-pin). Sorry I forgot to tell you that when we were chatting. G'Luck

From my own experience with them, be prepared to get better bolts. Some of the bolts are VERY soft. You should be able to assemble it to get it home, but I'd put a longer tongue on it later. It will tow alot better, and you can weld up a cooler tray on the tongue. Have a great trip, and be safe! jimsjinx
