Would a c 50 trike be adequate fro 2 up riding. Mountains, interstate, etc? It seems there are more of them available than the c 90. Opinions please! :xzqxz: I am trying to figure out the best way to go. Are there any inherent or consistent problems in the Suzuki line?:wave4:

A C50 should be good for 2 up. You won't be blowing the doors off any hot rods and you will down shift on long up hills, but that would be true with a 2 wheeler.
If you are comfortable on the bike, go for it.

I don't know your riding experience/comfort level, but if you can do it, you might want to consider the C90. I have a C50 and always ride alone, so I can't really advise how it would be two-up (although I've been told by other owners that it's just fine), but I do frequently wish I'd gone with the C90 - a bit more horsepower can be useful at times, and I think it's a tad bigger (at least the Lehman kit seems to be). I have a really nice shot of my C50 next to Yogisan's C90. I'll try to upload it.

I'm not sure who might make kits for the C50, but I have the Lehman Tramp kit on mine. Nice looking, but the "trunk" is far from practical! I can get quite a bit in there, but only if I can get it through the opening! And I've been advised not to try to trailer with it, so that makes packing for a trip a bit challenging. Fortunately, alone I can always put my "luggage" on the back seat, but I couldn't tell you what to do if you plan to travel two-up. Attached is a picture of the C90 trunk - picture a triangle shaped opening dead center, and that's what the C50 has. No way of getting a helmet in the C50 trunk!!

But again - these are Lehman kits. As I said, I don't know who else makes kits for the Boulevards.

I actually bought a 2007 c90 Lehman trike on Friday a.m. Rode it 300 miles today and am totally happy. 99% of my riding is 2 up so I went with the bigger. My last ride was a 2002 Kawasaki Nomad 1500Fi and loved its power. We totaled a 2001 Nomad in Sept of 2012 and neither my wife or I have been comfortable on a 2 wheeler since. But today on the trike we actually enjoyed ourselves. Doesn't mean can't crash but feel more in control , my left leg hasn't returned to normal(if ever will) since wreck so safety was also an issue.

Congratulations on the C90. I ought mine in 2007 and have over 28,500 miles on it. It's been a great trike but, like every other motorcycle, it has it's issues. But those issues can be corrected. The issues are with the C90 Boulevard part, not the Lehman conversion unit.

You need to add this website to your favorites...Intruderalert.com. Go to the website and click the "CAFE" tab. There's a boatload of info on the C90 by some people who really know what they are talking about.

I do my own work on my trike so I can give you help if you need it. Again, congratulations on your new trike.
