Burnt By A Member , Or Former Member

YEP.....sometimes all that is gained is a Lesson Learned.....always a good thing when a "Bad Business" is no longer in business though.....;) ThumbUp

I did all that too . Had a landlord owe me $1200. It was the balance for completely gutting a burned duplex. She never come up with the money, so I took her to small claims court and won. That was 10 years ago and have never collected a dime. She did call maybe 3 or 4 yrs ago around X-mas time to see if I would settle for $200. I said I'd get back with her, never did. I did put a lien on her property at the time of going to court. The court could care less if you get paid. Nobody follows through with it. It really sucks.

Was hit on right side on my 2001 Blazer, she was on phone moved to a place with no free space. Right lane was for right turn only.

State Insurance, she has insurance with them. Police report says she was in the wrong. Estimate done by adjuster they picked. Damage $ 1835.00 The offered me $1000.00 since it is old, has 202,000 miles on it. Have full coverage, long trips rent a car. Have Allstate. will see what happens.

What would they have said if it was a $100000. Porsche 4 wheel drive.

Exactly my point in previous post. I had a guy offer to build a shed for $2K, but he had to have $1500 up front for supplies, etc., for a contract to finish in two weeks; his BS operation drug on for three months. Good christian man I knew, so he sucked me in. He came in, did a lot of landscape damage, crooked foundation, could not get him back on the job to fix or finish anything, was totally arrogant when I called. Thought about small claims, then rejected it, just wasn't worth the aggravation. Stuff like that can really piss you off, there's a place called Hell for people like that.

the part that makes me mad at myself is I have tools, service manual , mechanical ability, just not enough time to get it done before our up coming vacation at the time. as it ended up we had to take a car on a bike trip cause it wasn't done. took 3 weeks to put a cam in. then it was screwed up. wrong lifters/ wrong pushrods.

next time I will make time!

:Shrug::Shrug::Shrug:

I got an email from him a couple of weeks ago and he told me
"To watch what I say about him"

I asked him if that was a threat but he never replied.

The bible says that "you will reap what you sow"

I wish the best for all those who lost money to him and that all of you get every penny back---plus more!!!

People like that use threats and intimidation to get what they want. It's disgusting and we should all stand tall against people that use those tactics to demonstrate that it doesn't work.

These con artists, you can take them to small claims, but then, ya still gotta collect. You get the judgement at great cost of inconvenience, if the the sorry lout still doesn't pay, ya get a lien on something he owns, there's another problem if doesn't own anything or sails under the radar in selling an asset.

Why not just piss away the file fee . you get the same result BTDT

One nice thing about the Internet is the name gets out to more people. Now if there was a permanent hallway that everyone can check to see if their favorite mechanics, are jips.

Well I should have known better than to do business on a handshake. Redneck Trikes by Ray Henry made me a deal for $5K to build me a VW trike and I would represent his trikes here where I live. I planned a vacation for Aug. 2013 after paying him most of the money. Well ole Ray Henry kept making excuses and making new delivery dates. I had to go ahead and purchase a two wheel bike to have any kind of pleasure riding. Then I just tried to keep peace hoping to get something, the trike or money. It will soon be a year ( April ) since paying Redneck Trikes . I've had enough. I am filing papers in his county court. I gave Ray Henry all kinds of ways to make me whole again and he just wouldn't make the effort. Don't know if any of ya'll have had any dealings with him. Just wanted to share this so maybe I can save somebody the headaches I have been dealing with. Worse part, I had to borrow money to buy the two wheeler. Anyway, hope everyone stays safe and warm, Cajun

Don't know what else to do. Anybody else been burnt by this guy?
:gah::Trike1::gah: Wishing you a better day, having forum's like this help us all.

I know this post is a little old, but I just have to say something. I too was burned by this guy. He talks a good game but puts out a poor quality product. I paid top dollar for my trike and it spent more time off the road and in shops than it did on the road. Once he delivers the product he does not stand behind it. I hope he is out of business. I can not stress this enough... If you are considering this guy DON'T!!!! I hope the author of this thread got some kind of justice.... I sure did not.

I think it's good to keep light on this person that has done trash conversions. Sad for those customer that used him. These are costly machines, and to be screwed over by the builder, well you know the story.

:Coffee: If you paid with a debit or credit card and did not receive the product contact the bank or credit card co.
Mine stands behind money I was ripped off for. They pay me back and go after the thief themselves:Shrug:.

Don't know if any of this applies but maybe worth mentioning?

As I read it, the OP paid for a trike build and/or repair that was a piece of junk build and/or repair. I wasn't like buying a tool or something.

All I know
I bought a car part on the internet and the company turned out to be a scam so I never received the part nor get satisfaction from the company.

The bank paid me back the money is was scammed out of.
