Burgie seat

I want to put a better seat on my Burgman650. Corbin doesn't appear to make anything much different than what I've got. I am thinking about modifying a regular cruiser seat like from a Goldwing or Harley. However I'm short legged so the regular seat gets pretty narrow and am worried about getting aboard if it's too far forward. Anybody done anything like this?
