Bumper for trike

Personally I would like more protection in the rear of my trike. I'm not looking for anything to offer protection in event of a crash but more to offer some protection of the paint, lights, and any little garage bumps that might happen. I'm not looking for a large automotive style bumper but something that will look nice and help enhance the overall appearance. I think some kits offer a bumper but I couldn't find anything for CSC. I did some searches a found nothing from the custom market but for one company that made a custom bumper for a customer who owned another brand. Thanks

I hear what you are saying Dennis!! My Roadsmith was the same way. If you have a Viper kit the light bars might provide a little protection but other than that you are going to find it tough locating anything that will fit. Each manufacture's design is just different enough that bumpers will not be interchangeable. You will have to depend on aftermarket or custom made. The third alternative would be to do as I did and use the stick on strips. Here is a picture of my Roadsmith.. On the HTS1800 kit, there is a high spot line in the OEM bumper just between the two strips.

I'm on my phone so pic is a little hard to see. I'll get on computer later and get a better look. Is that 2 strips of the chrome like strips with a space between them or one solid piece?

I like your your license plate frame. Have you done the iron butt?

Another idea for a bumper. If you have a receiver type trailer hitch, I saw one where the owner had fabricated a bumper from 1-1/4" pipe, then mounted it on a slide to mate the receiver. It did look good. But if you pull a trailer.........

2 strips of 3/4 inch wide trim.

Did a saddle sore 1000 and bun burner 1500 back when I was still on two wheels. I'd like to do that again on three. :xszpv::xszpv:

my compliments to you! I sometime can spend the time to cover several miles but not the speed to cover the miles. The darkness is not for me. Raised up in deer country.

No rattle, it comes with an additional piece to keep it tight. If you have dual exhaust, make sure it fits between. If not their are shorter ones also. Good luck.

Easy rear bumper. Add on a Pick-up rear step/bumper that fits the 1 1/4 receiver trailer hitch on most trikes. Here's a couple possibilities >> Amazon Best Sellers: Best Towing Hitch Steps - Amazon.com

I used the 360C Rhino.

My Champion has the dual exhausts, so I got the shorter one, in black, and added a better led strip on it and it acts as an additional brake light: Also on Amazon under: [h=1]Bully BBS-1104L Black Bull Series LED Hitch Step[/h]

Jerry,
You could ride up to my place in Indyanner, about 1100 miles, for completion of an Iron Butt on the trike.:D
Heck, I'd grill you a nice steak, just to see your trike! :pepper:

(PS: Also done an IB1k and IB1.5K on two wheels. ThumbUp That was back before I took afternoon naps, haha.)
