Boom update

Has anyone updated their boom radio recently and if so did they have any issues I've seen where you can do the CVO update on a non CVO bike has anybody tried this .Last time I updated was last August

Yes, many people have updated to the newest version 1.21.0.4.zip It was released on 3/27/17 and seems to be stable. However, I am sure (as usual) you can find someone that had trouble or doesn't like it. Anyway, YES you can install the CVO version of the file. I have been doing it for the last 2 or 3 updates.

Go to the HD Boom Box Software update page.

Download the CVO version of the file swdl_boombox_6.5GT_CVO.1.21.0.4.zip

Extract or "unzip" the file on your computer, it will extract into 3 files.

Change the name of the extracted file swdl_boombox_6.5GT_CVO_iso to swdl_boombox_6.5GT.iso

Copy the renamed file to your USB stick and follow the instructions from the HD software page for installing.

But changing the name,will not change the properties of the file.It will still be CVO.What does changing the name do,what is it's purpose? What do we gain? If anything.

The only difference is the startup screen says CVO instead of the Harley icon.
