This week I received the Baker Compensator that I ordered last week from J&P cycles, they originally said it would be 3 - 4 weeks for delivery but it only took a week. It was supposed to be delivered on Monday 7/24 so I got up early and started removing the primary fluid and cover. So I'm looking at the compensator and I removed the chain tensioner and the center bolt on the compensator and removed it- piece of cake! Didn't have to remove the clutch basket ! The chain came off and folded up and out of the way.

When the new one came later in the day I unboxed it and read the instructions, it appeared fairly easy and it really was! My trike is a 2010 Street Glide Trike which is a little brother to the Tri Glide and it had the upgraded SE Compensator on it which is still a piece of junk. But having said that it saved me many steps in changing the part. I was able to get the chain over the new part and with a little finagling got the new part to slip on.

The bottom line is it is a lot quieter, easier to shift and find neutral and no more clunking noise when the engine is shut off.I

I would highly recommend this upgrade! Thanks to Baker and J & P Cycles

Good deal, funny how Baker is almost always the leader, and HD does not care. IMO competition drives the MOCO to finally catch up, BUT it takes too long, as we ALL know this end result is the way it should be. JMO, Thanks for the info and let us know how better it works. { Intruding minds want to know}:gah:
