I will be putting an adjustable back rest on my 2015 and would like to know if it is necessary to move the tour pack back so that the passenger will have more room.

My wife and I did not find it necessary to do so. Just for info I go about 185 and she's a bit less than me and 5' 9". We've run about 30K without problems or complaints.

I go about 200 5' 11 and my girlfriend about 160 5' 9. No problems or complaints either. About 15,000 miles.

I am 225 and my wife is quite a bit less(really don't know) but it is a tight fit with the back rest on. I am getting ready to move it back on mine by just redrilling the four holes in the tour pack and moving it 2". I did the same on my dresser with no problems and never had an issue with the box cracking.
