Babbits

I am looking for a front brake master cylinder for a 2007 1800 VTX and Babbits On Line is the only place I have found that advertises one, however I have read many bad reviews for them and am wondering if anyone out there has any personal dealings with them. If so would you please post the results you had with them. I have a 07 1300 but the master on it will not run the drum brakes on my Motor Trike conversion. Hopefully the larger piston on the 1800 will do the trick without having to change any wiring or lines.
Thanks.
Dave

I have ordered from Babbits several times with never a problem, I think for OEM parts they are a great place. Charley

Can't offer any info on Babbits but kinda curious about your problem with your braking. My wife has 10,000 miles on her '06 vtx 1300 w/a Motortrikes kit on it. Didn't have to upgrade the stock master cylinder and I oonly adjust the rear brakes at the end of the season when I put it away......Ron

I buy OEM parts for my business all the time. Don't be misled regarding these parts places; ANY parts place can order parts from Honda and none of them actually stock all these parts at their place of business. They take an order and get the parts from Honda; perhaps a few very common parts might be kept at the business or its warehouse but they order stuff, in general. If they can't get the part from Honda USA, then the request goes to Japan. As far as Babbitts specifically, they are priced competitively but shipping is high. The master cylinder is available through dozens of sellers; PowersportsPlus.com - OEM Powersports Parts from Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha at discounts up to 80% off MSRP is the cheapest I saw but not sure about shipping cost. Try search by Honda P/N 45510-MCH-C11.
