Would appreciate some inputs on what others have done with setting adjustments on the Auxiliary Shock for a Lehman Monarch II.
The Lehman Monarch II on a 2012 GL 1800 with a straight axle. My weigh is 230lbs and my wife 175lbs and I pull a trailer (25lbs on the ball) Currently I have the setting at the stiffest notch but wondering if that may be too much. Don't want the rig to bottom out when hitting a pot hole. The GL shock is set a 10lbs.

Thanks for your inputs

My wife and I are about the same weight as you and yours. We run the Lehman shock in the middle setting and the Honda shock at 17. The maximum setting is way too stiff for the both of you. The Honda shock is hydraulic and not air like the 1500 so when you use the adjuster youre hydraulically changing the preload on it. Ive never had the rig bottom out in the rear due to suspension. But I have had the front forks bottom out with the stock springs.

If having weight issues, install progressive heavy duty spring on your OEM shock, order heavy duty shock from Lehman for kit. Lehman stock shock/spring is on weak side,JMO. I run my Lehman shock maxed out, 2 up we are riding lighter than you are. Yes have bottomed out crappy road conditions..(OHIO)..Carrying most of your gear in the trailer should help greatly.

Is the Honda GW mono shock used as suspension?
Reason I ask is the Roadsmith and others are used to lift the rear only. No spring or suspension travel. It is used to keep the trike level when loaded.
It is a option only.
I did a search but did not find an information about it.
Just curious, nothing more.
