Ask for a reference before you choose your builder I wish i did

so today i did my fork seal and bushing rebuild . But I am going to back up a few months like way back to last April when i had my bike triked out by a company in ST Cloud MN with a Motortrike Razor kit put on it they also installed a 4.5 degree rake in the bike with Traxxion Dynamics fork springs. I have never really cared for the way it handled so I was thinking about doing a six degree rake but then i thought just give it time and i might get use to it after all its my first trike and its a different animal to ride.

Last August we went out to Utah for two weeks and while out there i blew the left seal so i just kept a rag on it and kept changing it until i gt home then i just was a procrastinator about changing my seals as i took a seal cleaner and cleaned it and the leaking stopped well this winter it started leaking again so i finally decided its time to get it done so here we are today . I took the left fork apart first as it was the one leaking there was some oil still in the tube I would say about 1 1/2 cups just guessing put it back together and went to the right side when I took the bolt out of the bottom of the fork tube no oil came out when i took everything out including damping rod i got about 3 OZ of oil out of this side .

there where no signs of oil leaking from this fork what so ever . Now that both forks have the same amount of oil in them maybe the ride will be more enjoyable but now my mind is going on about what else did not get done right . But thats a different story if you look up my post about when i had my bike triked it's not a pretty story.

So sorry to hear of your experience, Kenneth.

Yes, you are correct about verifying the trike builder's reputation. The trike builder is the key person into building a functional and reliable final product.

Please, let us know how your repairs work out.
