Have any of you been to one of these ? Looks like a great place to ride.
16th Annual Bikes Blues & BBQ Rally
Fayetteville, AR
September 23rd thru 26th 2015

I live about 50 miles north of Fayetteville, and have attended all the BB&BBQ rallies, and some of the charity poker runs that preceded it. I don't go on the organized rides, I have the rest of the year to do that. I can say the Ozarks is a great place to ride.
The rally itself started out on Dickson Street where there was no problem getting a parking spot and has expanded to Baum Stadium near the UofA, the Washington County fairgrounds in Fayetteville, and Arvest Ball Park in Springdale for custom car/bike and vintage bike shows. In addition to their vendor booth and demo rides at Baum, Pigtrail HD usually has events and vendors at the store in Rogers and their Eureka Springs facility.
Hotels fill up as far away as Pineville, MO (about 40 miles) - many, if not most of the room in the area are books, and campgrounds fill up quickly.
Aside from the from the usual bars, restaurants and music venues on Dickson Street and even the Arkansas Music Pavilion (Walmart AMP) in Bentonville, there are a few hundred vendors along Dickson, at Baum Stadium and scattered throughout the area.
I usually go down after work at least Thursday and Friday, and my wife and I go to check out the vendors, see folks we know and hob-nob with 100,000 of our closest friends hanging around on Saturday.
If you go, by all means cruise Dickson Street a time or 2, and if you get very lucky you may find a parking spot on the street, or you can pay $10 - $20 for lot parking. Free parking can be found at Baum stadium and you take the train from Baum to Dickson for $5 round trip.
No, I'm not associated with the rally, Fayetteville, etc. - just thought I'd pass along a bit of info. Here is a link to the official website: http://www.bikesbluesandbbq.org/

We go every year as well and have always had a great time.. I schedule days off work a year ahead of time just for the rally.

Dang, sounds like its a big deal and big party. Thanks for the info. A few of us are thinking about riding up and spend a few days. Can you suggest a hotel that won't gouge you on the price and is safe ?

Finding a hotel this late might be tough but I'd suggest looking in Bentonville and Rogers. Scan locations for hotels and find any close to I49 which is the main North/South highway and easiest route to everything.

Staying in Eureka Springs is also an option but again, chances of finding vacancies during the rally is low.

If you find a spot and have questions about the area its in, safety, etc. feel free to shoot me a PM and I'll help any way I can.

Good to know, Thanks ThumbUp

Old thread, but, you can usually book a cabin or camp spot at Ozarks Cabins just outside of Eureka Springs, Sep. is getting toward the "off season" but you can get reservations year round. You can google the place. I've stayed there, not affiliated with them at all, but good folks. I'll be there next year :Coffee:
