It's an interesting design for sure.
Hopefully the beetle you have pictured was not/is not being "sacrificed" to build the buggy, as it looked fairly good body wise.
Anyhow, if it is something you are inspired to build, by all means go for it.
I'm no good at posting pictures, but if you can post pictures of the build they are enjoyed by all here...

That is the donor car, but the pic was taken before the body and floor pans suffered substantial "indignities" that severely decreased its value.
