Can I use a different diameter tone ring as long as the spacing of the holes in the ring are the same?

In my unscientific opinion, if you change the diameter you change the speed of the timing notches. If the front and rear timing notches are traveling at different speeds the system would "read" the difference as loss of traction and engage the ABS full time.

From my understanding of the pick up system it is counting slots, so as long as you have the same number in the ring the size will not matter.
