Anyone have plans to attend Americade 2016?

I have never been there was thinking about going this year. Any do's/don'ts?? Info on good (affordable) places to stay? Any other info would be appreciated.

Was thinking of spending a night or two in Champlain and then another couple closer to the venue.

We go every year for the last 5 years. We always have a good time although we haven't been to Warrensbug yet but plan to do so this year. There is another motorcycle event there and I've heard it's pretty good. Canada street is where a lot of the action is, everything centers around Fort William Henry. Lots of demo rides but if you want to sign up you have to get to the rides EARLY EARLY EARLY to get a slot.
Lots of great restaurants in and around the Village and if you register on the Americade website there's lots of organized rides to choose from if you like that. Those sell out early too.

In my two wheeler days, there was a group of 5-7 of us that rode every Sunday. Some how it went south. So I am planing a reunion with whomever is left to go this year. So far I found 8 of us. One has a camper in Lk George, the other has a trailer in North Creek.
Should be a hoot if it all works out.
Good riding if you stay off the northway. Lots of yard sales on rt9.

I'll be there, but then it's only a 15 minute ride for me. We volunteer to work at the GWRRA Booth for 2 three hour shifts at Tour Expo. We have a member that owns a motel & cottages in Diamond Point. We have our NY District Ride Out there in September.
