I am thinking about going to americade next year.
To thoses who have been there I have some questions.
What is the closest hotel are motel I can stay at.
Right now because of some back problems that affect my legs I have a big problem with walking any distance,I hope by next year I will not have this problem are at least as bad.
I still have my late wifes elec.handicap scooter that will fit in my escapade trailer if I need it,but my Question is would I be able to use it there.
It will not go through real soft ground are real lose gravel, but it will go up pretty steep inclines.:pray::pray::pray:

Wife & I have been going there since the 80's, all kinds of Motels in the area, best bet is to book now. Go on site Americade :: TourExpo :: The Worlds Largest Motorcycle Rally, Convention :: Lake George :: New York that will answer all your question's, have them send you a book. You can always p.m. me & I'll answer any questions you need answered and if you would like include your phone # and best time to call & I'll give you any info I have, you'll Love it there as everyone should experience it......tis

We stay at the Landmark motel it is off exit 17n of the northway. Nice motel has indoor pool and hot tub not to far from lake george. Your scotter can be used at the at the expo I pushed my wife in her wheelchair a few times. Best beat is to look on the americade site and get the info see what will fit you the best.

Jim:
Go on-line and take a look at the Lake George area there are all kinds of motels in Glens Falls ( five or six miles south of Lake George village). The down side is the closer to Americade itself the more pricey. Bolton Landing a short ride north has some nice accomodations. The plus to being in the immediate area of Americade is you can walk to the trade shows, restaurants, etc or take the local shuttle. Most folks who are at Americade and returning the following year make their reservations before they leave so places fill up quick. One of our chapter members runs a very nice place with very reasonable rates, his site is info@lakegeorge cottages. Beautiful part of the country to ride.

The shuttle is only 50 cents (unless that too has gone up ) it can take you from 149 too almost Bolton landing . Parking down town is a bit of a problem . Car parking is about 3 blocks off the main drag. When 35,000 bikes try to park in a 2 mile stretch of road it gets tight . And if you have a trike , u need to spots. (Parking spots = 4 feet wide back in slot.) u can get so close that you can sit on your porch and watch. sleeping would be optional until about 2AM . Many good deals on the road to Warrensburg just up off 9N. Shuttle available every 1/2 hour.
tis and I have been going since Moby Dick was a sardine <LOL>
