Ok, so I appreciate the warm welcome. My new love, my Suzuki trike is a dark purple. As a straight male, I don't really like it, but almost everyone I show it to say they Love love love the color. Am I out of date? I wondered how kichit would cost to paint it, but should I just learn to love it??

I don't know how to post. Pic from my iPad, of someone could help me post a pic,I will email you a pic or two.

Dude-don't ya know purple is the new blue. If you are comfortable in your sexuality, I just would not even be concerned. Please don't paint it pink or fushia, if you elect to repaint!!:DThumbUp

I've been painting my stuff dark purple pearl for years...and I am a male. It's a very popular color nowadays, unlike when I started using it almost 40 years ago. A good paint job with a color change will probably be at least $3k. Materials are very expensive, for the good stuff. Maybe you could just get someone to add some stripes/flames/scallops/?

What is wrong with PURPLE and I doubt many care if your straight, crooked or circular. Do you like the color? If you don't like it than change it, but don't worry about what others think unless you can talk THEM into paying for the bike & paint!!!!

As others have stated,, the hell with what others might think! If you like it,, keep it! Personally, I think purple is a great color for a trike! :10:

I believe that it is hard to worry about color when your cheeks are hurting from all the grinning that the ride gives you. Just be glad it's not black!

I don't know...a set of those "bull's balls" hanging off your hitch receiver may be in order!:D:laugh:

Ok I read a lot of posts and for the most part I keep my thoughts to myself. However, having purchased a black cherry (purple) trike, I am going to chime in on this one. I hated the purple color. I had my trike painted. You can see the before after pictures on a previous thread. If you don't like the color, change it!! It is your bike, make it your own.
I'm just saying!
Ride safe.

Purple cool you messed up by buying a suzuki. Never liked these bikes. :AGGHH:

GOLWING only way to go. ThumbUp :GL1800:

It should be PINK ThumbUp

Wish mine was pink, black shows everything

Thanks guys, you're all making me feel better about the purple color. As far as the last comment on Suzuki, I would love to have a Harley trike and for my 50th birthday I will buy myself one what but for the next seven years at least I'm getting bugs in my teeth in the meantime.

I still might paint it but time will tell. If I did, it would be a deep orange, my fav. Color. I also might pin stripe it, is there a place on this sight that has pic's of pin striping?? I don't want over the top but something cool.

I once painted my harley magenta, looked great in the shade looked kinda grape, out in the full sun it looked like a light shade of purple, cant ride in the shade all the time, could not afford to repaint so l lived with it a couple of years

Scalp Hunter had an Ultra with multiple scenic and Indian paintings; truly fabulous! When we upgraded to the GW 1800 CSC, we searched the web for a broad assortment of pin striping designs, printed out our favorite 15-20, then handed the pictures to a remarkable artist who did a perfect job on trike, trailer and helmets. We lost him to cancer immediately after he finished the trailer, and the world lost a true talent. We would suggest you Google pin striping and find what pleases YOU!

Color is very subjective. I had a triglide that everyone loved the color of. Everyone but me. I got a great buy on it and thought I'd learn to like it. Never did. Recently sold it. Would have painted it if I had kept it. It made me realize that although some people don't care what color their car or bike is, I'm not one of them. I care a lot. Wish I didn't, but I do.
Also made me realize that it doesn't matter who else loves or hates it, it only matters to me how I feel about it.
So, if you're ok with it, keep it purple and put what the paint job would cost towards your future triglide. If it reallly bothers you and you just can't get into it being purple, paint it.

When I bought my trike, it was painted purple, with a lot of red, blue & green sparklies embedded that really glow in the sunlight. I didn't think a lot of it, but it kinda grows on ya. And when I'm traveling, it even has a fuzzy seat! (Alaskan sheepskin)

I bought & brought back to life a Valkyrie 2-whlr that was yellow/black. Absolutely hated the color. But after finishing up, polishing up & years later... that thing has grown on me. Don't think I'll ever sell it or change it.

My last trike was Purple and Silver. It was a stock HD color at the time.
