Air shock air pressure?

Back when I had my Ultra, I was told to air up the shocks to the max. Then w/the help of a friend, "load" the bike the various ways it would be ridden, ie. 1up, 2up, loaded for a trip, with and without trailer.
Under these various loads, I was to have the helper let air out until the rear of the bike started to lower, take readings on the amount of air in the shocks. Then I would have a chart to tell me where to set the shocks for how ever the bike was loaded at that time.
Worked for me!!!!!

I just go to ''Toledo'' have myself weighed and go by the chart in the book......:xszpv::)
