Trike Talk
I recently, finally, purchased a 2009 Gold Wing with the CSC conversion. I am now a happy camper or triker. I appreciate those who contributed to the Forum discussions as they aided in my search for my trike. Many of my questions were answered and the research was enjoyable.
A few comments that might help future people selling trikes using the classifieds.
State up front where you are located, i.e., city and state. I will possibly travel one state away but not much more than that unless it is a real deal. Viewing someones public profile narrows it down a little but still the extra step makes your product that much easier to sell. Also, the trike is not always located where the advertiser is located.
State the year of both the basic bike and the conversion and the type of conversion; is it raked, color, mileage, extended warranties, miscellaneous other accessories, (trailer, helmets, rain gear, backrest, trunk wings) and of course, the price.
I found my trike through Craig’s List. I found the following helpful. On Craig’s List find the city in which you are interested in finding a trike, click on motorcycles and in the search box type in trike. This will narrow your focus to only trikes and you do not have to surf through all the 2 wheeled type cycles. I did this for 4-5 cities in my area of interest and posted these links to my favorites. Saved me a lot of time.
Hopefully the above will help those needing to buy and sell trikes.
Again, thanks for those who contribute to the Forum. Trike Talk is the premier site I have found for trike information. Keep it up. See you down the road.
