Adding a 12V. light to my Trunk

I see these 12v lighting sets in Walmart and wondered if anyone bought one and
added to your trunk.
I have a HTS Roadsmith trike, and once in awhile would like my trunk to have a light.

I know Roadsmith offers their own, but for the couple times I would need one
instead of grapping a flashlight, a 12v light fasten inside would work for me.

I bought a LED closet/drawer lite from Walmart that has a magnet mount & uses 3 AAA batteries( push on, push off).

To mount it in the trunk,I picked up a large fender washer at the hardware store @ used silicone glue to mount the washer to the inside top of the trunk giving the lite magnet something to attach to,works pretty good & gives off almost as much lite as the trunk lite I got from Roadsmith & I don't have to turn the key on.

:D

I haven't got them yet but thats my next project. Strip lights from wally world. I think their are seven or eight lights on each strip and their are 12V. Also come in different colors.

I just went out to the garage and looked at my Roadsmith trunk.
There's is a metal plate that holds the trunk latch, I'll bet anything magnetic should stick to that............

I tried that but not enough light for me.
I want a light strip on both sides of the trunk.

I would think that with a little imagination and very little money, relatively speaking, you could mount any number of different kinds of lights to as many places as you could think of. I have toyed with the idea, from time to time, and just haven't done anything yet. I guess I just don't drive enough at night to realize it's dark in both of the trunks.

Had the same issue when unpacking the trunk. The missus couldnt see at night. So being frugal as I am I went to the dollar store and bought some of those small circular multi LED press lights. Found a good spot on the lid where it would shine down with the lid open and then put some 3M double stick tape on the back and mounted one. Been there 4 years and still working. With a spoiler ,luggage rack, and brake flasher, and lighted trunk handle, I didnt feel like opening the inner trunk lid to wire one more accessory and if the light should break its easily replaced.
