I added these amber LED's along the edge of the running boards for a little more side visibility. It was a bit of a pain in the keester to get the wires to run together and find a good enough connection for them. But it works and it only took me about an hour total to run them.

You might have started something Harry. Now everybodys going to want lights on their running boards. Looks nice, good job. ThumbUp

I added 2 lites on the outboard side of the rear fenders for the same idea but yours came out better. Nice contrast, mine is light blue so it would not have quite the contrast but still would have looked better then my 2 lites. Oh well, next time.

Unfortunately, the police in Virginia REALLY frown on anything blue on a vehicle. White, Amber and Red are acceptable and, usually, doesn't draw any "extra" attention from the LEO's out there.

Really nice Job!! Like the Add Eye Catcher effect!! Anything to make a Cager aware that we are on the Road with them!! Can't count on it making them See you but anything that Helps is a + in my Book. :). Heck I say Lite it Up like a UFO if U wait if cagers Think they see a UFO atleast they saw U!! But U can Never Count on it. :(

I still ride like I am invisible. The cagers definitely don't pay attention to bikes OR trikes. And now that these IDIOTS are texting and driving it makes it even MORE dangerous out there......Anything i can do to give me just s slight edge is good.....

I put blinking LED's wired into the brake lights across the top of my trunk lid.....as high as I could get them. Also have the famous "back-off" system in all my rear lights. Never too much lighting.

Harry
Please ignore the PM I sent you. I read further in the post and see you did indeed use what I had been looking at in my local AutoZone.
