2017 Trike Talk Northeast Registration

Not sure what is going on just yet, but I have a few interested in coming along with me. One may have booked the hotel already, 2 or 3 others have not, at this point will see ya there.

OlBandit

I stopped at the hotel yesterday and there are 13 rooms available as of now and they are starting to take reservations from other people. anyone who is planning on attending, get your reservation in now.

For those of you who are attending the Northeast Trike Rally in the Catskills, if you have the room to bring along a camp chair or similar type of chair please do. The hotel does have chairs outside and in the pool building but not knowing how many other people will reserve rooms, we shouldn't assume that our group will have priority use of this area. If we can continue to have members reserve the rooms and we fill a larger percentage of the rooms, it will help keep the "other population down" but we will still need extra chairs even so.

Thanks

Did a ride last Sunday up Rt 23 from camp and into Windham. Rt 23 from the Rt 145 intersection out about 5 miles is being repaved starting this past Monday. Hopefully it will be finished by the rally week, I'll keep an eye on it so if it looks like a problem, I can suggest other routes to take.

On another note, wife and I along with friends went to Michael's Diner in the center of Windham, not far from the hotel and had a nice filling breakfast, which is served all day. They also offer a full lunch and dinner menu at reasonable prices.

Here are the registration page and spread sheets. I tried both and open up fine. There are two spread sheets going, an original one and one that came up after I made some changes to the form. Once you fill out the form, it should populate the spread sheet with your info.

I guess this is the original one that folks can't find

Rally is official

We have 12 trikes registered. I consider it a rally when it gets over 10

Less that 8 is just A Ride. I hope a few more are coming that just failed to sign the attendance sheet .. I did notice a few are single ( me included ) and they may also have a passenger.. Also me included .. :clapping:

Stitches come out of my hand tomorrow. Then the countdown begins until I believe my hand can operate the brake fast (I have to plan for cagers being stupid after all). The point is, I expect to be riding.

Time has run out now nest weekend. See you all there

Bandit

How did you make out getting a few from your area ? Can't wait to see you 2 .

I will be coming single this year. ...

It looks like 8 rooms are booked now, we lost a few so if there are any last minute trikers wanting to go, we should have room. The weather looks fantastic, maybe a little touch of fall, hopefully not too much temp wise, but from what I saw, the temps will be in the upper 60's low 70's and clear all though the weekend. This weekend was supposed to be like that after Friday and we did have a little rain later Saturday night, but after a somewhat cloudy morning, it cleared up nicely.

Just a reminder to bring a roll up camp chair if you have room, there are some on the deck and in the pool building, and they have a bench that runs around the deck too. Speaking of the pool, it is an indoor heated pool and hot tube to smooth those sore parts after riding so don't forget swimsuits.....

Due to the lower attendance, we will probably play it by ear for eating....there is a pizza place just down the road that will deliver so that's even a possibility.

I rode up Rt 23 from Catskill over the weekend and it has been completely repaved from the intersection of Rt 145 up to the Windham line. It only needs the lines and there is one rough spot at the end that is just a few feet so hopefully that will be done this week.

The wife and I did some more scouting over the weekend and found a few more roads that are in very good condition for riding. With 8 to 10 trikes it should be very doable to have everyone on the same ride, most of the roads are lightly traveled too.

Have a safe ride up and see you all soon

Just found out tonight that we have a little bonus....the town of Cairo which is not far from Windham is having a bike block party on Saturday from 11 to 7 with vendors and other stuff going on, sounds like a good spot for a walk around in the afternoon.

Cairo sounds good. Just make sure you "Walk like an Egyptian" down the street.

Gots to dig out Diannes rain gear for tomorrow. Looking like it will be a mixed kind of day. Rest of week looks good. That's what I get for taking an extra day to relax and get out of town.

Weather from last night cleared up this morning, dew points will be dropping through out the day....

Everyone have a safe ride

I working on a u tube

Hope to have a you tube video up and running shortly. I have some good bike views of our rides. Great time. I hope to see you. Back next year.
