So as of this past Saturday, my Tri has a new stablemate. When one gets 12% knocked off the price of a new Z06, one does not thumb their nose at it. Shark Gray 2LZ A8 Gray Interior. Already have over 300 miles on it.

Gotta stretch your horizons 👍
Good luck

:) Real stretched ..... :clapping: Leaving the weekend after next for the pacific northwest. I am going to run the route backwards I did on the trike in late July. Since I will be in the car, I will come back via Beartooth Highway if it is open. Hard to believe that the pass is so high in elevation that it was closed due to snow and ice already this past week. MT highway dept reopened it yesterday............ hoping it stays that way past labor day.

I thought you sold that car?

I love the mid year cars. Had a '64 Stingray matching number, 4 speed car with factory air and factory sidepipes that my dad and I restored my junior year of high school. What a chick magnet that was! Later had another matching '64 auto, air car, a '69 LT1 convertible, hardtop 4 speed car no air no power steering, nothing but muscle, and a '74 last year of the 454 car. I'll have to dig up my photos and share. You started something Mikey.

Yes,I no longer own the car. Just playing with Mikey and Texan. Seeing that black 62 solid axle car made me think of the tv series,Route 66. Looking at your list,I owned a red/white 64 coupe with auto & air too, back when I was sophomore in high school. Those were actually pretty rare cars. I've owned a bunch of Corvettes in the past but sad to think I'll probably never own another.
If you still have them, post up a photo or two.

Mine was silver ............. I do not recall what color GM actually called it. I know where several off frame restorations are up north of Chicago. I cannot justify the expense. I use mine for travel 9 mos out of the year. Prime example, Montana had to close Beartooth Pass last week due to ice and snow ! "Say What ?!" Third week of August ........ Go figure.
