2014 GPS how to save a location

1) Select "Navigate"
2) Select "Where to"
3) Select "Address"
4) Enter address
5) While the route is being calculated, press the on screen button on the bottom left side
6) Scroll down to "save"
7) Select "Save"
8) Select "Yes"
9) Enter a name

It's number 5 that I could not guess (none of these instructions are in the manual).

Followed the steps but when I go to back to Navigation home, Where to, Saved there is nothing there if press addresses it is there until the bike is turned off then it is gone. There has to be some simple step I am missing? Have not done the update yet but not sure that has anything to do with the GPS?

I followed the steps I listed and addresses are saved into the "saved" location even after turning the trike off. I did do an update before trying this saved procedure. I don't know if this had anything to do with it?

I think the trick is doing step 7 while the GPS is calculating the route.

By following the seven steps, the saved location is in "Where to" section.

Still have not got it? Updated radio still the same as soon as switched off location is gone and never goes to saved. Guess I am just missing some simple thing. I'll get it eventually. Thanks for your help.

With the help from another forum have a way to save a location that worked for me at least.
Where to- Addresses enter the address let it calculate now to back to Recent and select the address, select save that prompts you to name it save. To find all your saved addresses you will have to go to "Recent" and they are there.
He was told by Harley that people just want to get to an address not to save them for the future. Think we all know that is BS maybe if we complain they will come out with an update to make it easier.

Yesterday the dealer I use (Great South HD, Newnan, Ga.), and I, programmed four 2014 bikes with Saved locations into their GPS using the below instructions. Non of the bikes had a software upgrade. Once again, make sure you perform step 5 during the time the GPS is calculating.

1) Select "Navigate"
2) Select "Where to"
3) Select "Address"
4) Enter address
5) While the route is being calculated, press the on screen logo/button on the bottom left side of the screen. It's not labeled.
6) Scroll down to "save"
7) Select "Save"
8) Select "Yes"
9) Enter a name

Went though all the steps again and think the problem is I was not waiting long enough for it to show up. Saved a location by your steps but after switching ignition off and on again there was nothing in saved. Waited a few minutes and then checked again and location was in Saved. Guess the problem is I am to impatient!!!!
