2012 Forty to Phoenix

The Third Annual “40 to Phoenix Ride” is here again! Join fellow members and ride through 3 regions, 8 states and 2 countries!

Take the whole trip, or just join in along the way for any amount of time!

Riders will depart from Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina on Saturday, March 10th, 2012 at 7:00am, picking up Gold Wingers all along the way as they travel 2,700 miles “coast to coast” through North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California and Mexico.

The 40 to Phoenix ride will stop at GWRRA National Home Office on March 15th, and finally end in San Diego March 18th.

Join the ride with fellow motorcycle enthusiasts making history along the way!

I'd like to do this ride but have other commitments in March. However, I think I'll run down to Wilmington and ride with them as far as Raleigh.<br />

FYI Military Retirees: There is a USAF Recreation Center at Fort Fisher (15 miles south of Wrightsville Beach on US-421) with campgrounds and lodges

Looks to be about 40 trikes and bikes will be departing Wilmington, NC at 0700 tomorrow. Saturday night's stop is Knoxville, TN.
