    Need Help Repairing Sloppy Shifter

Looks like your shifter box was installed never to be serviced. Possibly even home made. Ultimately, replacement will probably be needed. The washer (bushing) doesn't look so worn as to keep you from shifting. I'd grease the rod up in that area to minimize future wear. Anybody that has driven...

    Need Help Repairing Sloppy Shifter

Here's what the inside of a vw tunnel looks like. The shift rod bracket with nylon bush is what wears out and causes sloppy shifting. Is your shift lever vertical or horizontzl? It looks like you have a "universal" dune buggy shifter box. It may use a standard VW bushing or a custom bushing...

    Shenanigans

Just looking at your thread and had some thoughts about the side by side driver/engine arrangement. Have you looked at Dwarf Car engine setups with a Goldwing rear wheel/swingarm assembly? Goldwing swingarms are usually available as leftovers from trike conversions and the Dwarf Car coupling...

    Help! New Engine? DENVER, COLORADO

There's always the "Broomstick Stethoscope" for locating the source of the knocking. A long screwdriver also works well. Put the handle against the bones by your ear and probe around the engine with the tip. You should be able to localize the source of the knocking and proceed from there...

Need help ID'ing this VW trike-

Never seen one like that before. I suspect that it is a "Home Built" or "One Off" design based on the Kell kit from the early 70's. Compare the rear frame / suspension from ad to what you have. The seat section was probably pulled off a mold made from one of the Roth styled bodies like Stires...
