LOL... next time I will just ask about political affiliations. More unity.
Went and spent a few searching the forum. Well covered subject. Oops. Was new to me.
Unfortunately I am unable to delete above post showing my lack of initiative. :P
Those look fantastic! But.... I dont think they are 4" offset.
They look to be '0' offset.
IE: the backside of the wheel that sits against the axle is equidistant from the inside and outside of the sidewalls. The flat part you CANT see with wheels installed.
Positive offset is...
That is a very fair price on the bags! Will have to make sure they fit mine.
The O rings are generally good for many uses. Generally a poorly cut end and dirt seem to 'kill' most I have seen.
My airbag system has no control board, best of luck on yours!
Well... here we are a few years later. STILL remember that ride in the last post.
STILL loving the trike. No changes, just miles.
Time for a new front tire, however. The Avon has served us well, but wear bars are showing. AND.... it is dated 48th week of 2009.
I want this on the...
@OldRider2 - I have a 2008 VTX motortrike, original alloy wheels. If you have issues determining offset, LMK and I can pull a wheel and measure. I just went down and looked, they appear to be centered, ie: no offset. Pretty sure they were 15x7 rims, they ARE 5x4.5 bolt pattern. (I have a 7.5"...
FWIW, my 2008 VTX motortrike used 1/8 air lines. Available at me local NAPA and many other places.
1/8" measured OD, not ID. Hard, nylon or poly. NOT flexible 1/8" ID vacuum line.
EASY peasey to work with. Your image below.
On mine, this device ensures that I have 20# of pressure at all...
Doesnt that bike have a on/off/reserve selector for fuel? My 1800 does not due to FI. Pretty sure yours did.
Wont guarantee not running out of fuel, but will help. Just remember to take it off 'reserve' and put it back to 'on' if you do have to use it. ;)
Howdy Folks!
Getting into the project 'Planning Stages' of replacing my rod ends on my Motortrike kit. Always like getting ALL the parts before tearing into anything!!
I will be getting under there and double checking, but I am pretty sure I have 1/2-20 threaded ends on both the ladder bars...
And for those who follow... https://www.triketalk.com/forum/threads/63275-1st-impressions-1999-Valkyrie-Trike-with-motortrike-conversion?p=902336&viewfull=1#post902336
Papa Zook is right on the mark IMO.
I THINK that we have similar rear end setups in our trikes. I had(have..) the same problem. Low RPM operation gave a noise that made you think there was major problems with the transmission. My first V twin, so I was almost thinking that it was a straight...
Wow... another year gone by.
STILL love this trike. Especially the Federal 595RS-RR rain tires right now. They were in their environment, and they SHINED.
We went out on a 'rainy season' night... looked clear, and we will be home by 7...
That turned to 8...9...fun with friends.
Now we are...
Wellll... She wont argue the first point, nor will I..... Thanks for your kindness.
But its a matter of camera perspective. They are the same floorboards front and back. The fronts are from the original 2006 build, I found matches to them in Sweden (!) via Ebay. She does love them.
I still...
I made brackets to replace the pegs with floorboards for my Wife... She detested the 'bird perches'. This was my first ride with floorboards, and I wouldn't want anything else now.
Hmmmm... Might be a case of different models or years. As the signature says, I have a 2006 VTX 1800 solid axle Motortrike conversion. I know the factory doesnt use the setup I have anymore, they said they dont even have the jigs for my style. :(
My tires are a 225/45-15. (not 235...
