i have an odd problem and likely wont word it correctly and perhaps im missing the obvious but its bugging my nerves and OCD, i putzed with it several hours today.
the trike is vw, the front wheel is unknown brand steel rim and spokes aluminum hub, holes for brake rotor on one side, no front...
ive made a few sets but looking for other ideas on it,
my trike is irs with the generic buggy roll cage bumper that i see many trikes with and
of those many weld the mounting of the wheelies bars to the lower bumper tubes that go under the engine,
have anyone done this but bolt on mounting...
Warning im ADD OCD and have nervious issues this will be long winded.
I will assume there are at least a few cats here tech savvy on the pict 34 3 and vw engines,
Ive been a gear head close to 40 years wrenching on all kinds of junk including other trikes and vw vehicles but this time im not...
I had full gauges on my first trike ( vw ) and reserve tank but this one has only a tach, and oil and alt idiot lights,
I would like to add a gas gauge or even just a low fuel warning,
Heres what im up against,
Wilmac style body and the cat who made the gas tank was a artist, he fit it up...
Not really sure what to call them but like the light up handles on some big rigs and rvs,
I need a pair for our vw trike with wilmac style body,
Tina, my wife says she needs something to hold onto back there,
What should i look for and where,
Thanks

Dating myself, not too many years ago all kinds of off brand cycle shops around here you could hand them your wheel and they would mount you a tire and you were good to go,
Now I can't find a shop in orlando fl or close that can sell me a 21" front tire mounted to my rim...the shop that's sell...
I just received an email that I need to post of get the boot...lol,
Okay, I live in Orlando, have a trike I went all through, I built my first trike like 20 plus years ago,
That is my wife, Tina on the trike we now have....
I really haven't been doing much on the trike as all my time...
Well it depends, delta trikes especially higher ones do not handle so great drivers of them have to get to know them, lower ones seem to do a bit better,
I believe that trikes can in most cases be seen better than 2 wheels,
I always have more lights on my trike than the mother ship from Zeta...
I found you guys hunting a vair trike on the net, i have been doing vw trikes and have a sweet one but i desire corvair with auto tranny,
It will be a long hunt to find just what i want,
i have to have 5 posts here before I can post wtb so this is number one....lol
we putter around orlando so...
