I am on my 2nd Mega Crank battery in my 2015 Freewheeler. The first one lasted + or - 4 years. I have had the second one for about 8 months. I have seen them recommended on this forum and I am happy with them. How ever, I recommended the battery to a neighbor for his 2018 Street Glide and of...
The reverse motor on my Freewheeler has not worked for awhile and it is time to fix it. Has anyone rebuilt their reverse motor? Is there a repair kit available? If so where did you get it?
I do not want to go to a mechanical reverse.
Thanks, Sunman
Well, the last six weeks have not been good for me medically. Was diagnosed with Atrial flutter, saw the cardiologist and that seems to be under control.
Friday I saw a neurologist for arm and leg weakness and tremors and was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and just started medication for...
My 2015 FW has 35,500 miles and original rear brake pads. Changed the front pads at about 27,000 miles and they still had lots of pad left. In checking per the trike service manual instructions the rear brake pad wear indicator tabs are still sticking out past the caliper surface indicating...
Well, I hate to do this but I have had a previous illness come back last week and I am going to have to cancel on this trip. Medication does not seem to be working this time and I have to go to the doctor tomorrow. I know it is still a week before the trip but from past experience I know that I...
I got a new tune from Dynjet for the set-up on my engine. I downloaded the tune to the PV and flashed it to the bike's ECM. Now I am doing the auto tune runs and want to be sure I am doing it right (I have watched the Dynojet video). I did an auto tune run with the new tune and saved it to a new...
On my 2015 Freewheeler I have added the following to cool it down:
- Mighty Mite Love Jugs
- DK Customs tank lift
- DK Customs wind deflectors
- DK Customs remote oil filter kit and re-useable oil filter
- DK Customs high flow air filter and external breather
- Cobra 909 slip-on...
OK, after all this time I decided to change out my bars for more pullback due to shoulder and neck pain. Got the OEM bars off and on the work bench. Cannot get the wire pins to release out of the plugs so I can pull the wiring harnesses out with the switch packs. Tried a safety pin, straight pin...
I found a couple of photos of the Tour Rest passenger backrest that I had for my FW. I believe Saddlemans and maybe Cobra make a similar one. As I said my wife loved it and felt more secure.

Rode yesterday. After several rainy or windy days it was clear and sunny, in the low 50s when I left for a lunch ride and in the low 60s when I rode home. Good ride but I was a little nervous because a few days ago while riding this route I clipped a deer. I was doing about 60 MPH when she came...
I second the "no carpet" suggestion. We had the same problem in a previous home with a water leak soaking all of the carpet while we were gone for a weekend. Had to replace all of the flooring in the house. When we built this house we put laminate wood flooring everywhere, the entire house is...
