Good to know. There were a number of comments on other threads that cautioned against turning them and they should just be replaced. That's a $500 bill just for the rotors. Like I said there's just some minor scrapping on one side of the right one. So I'll have it checked out and try turning...

Have had many car and truck rotors turned over the years with no issues. Can you share why the VW rotors on the Roadsmith would be any different?

Had some light metal on metal scarring from a worn out pad on my right rear rotor and am looking for guidance with removal before I jump into it.
I contacted Roadsmith an was told the rotors can be turned. A replacement from them runs $198 + $20 shipping.
Cruised the San Diego back county then through the desert, up the into mountains and back down to the coast. Got home just in time to catch the sun set.
