    Even if the window is down and the driver makes what looks like eye contact, they don't necessarily see you. How many time have you heard the excuse' I didn't see him? Watching the front wheel for motion is a better/safer practice.

    I'm no math wiz either. That's why I start with a full tank every time. Doesn't matter if the trip is 50 or 550 miles. I never let the gauge get below 1/4 either.
