The paint is finished on the hauler, finally. We were supposed to be going to Beaumont for the rally there this weekend, but my wife isn't up to it. Next trip should be up to College Station on the 14th/15th for an event with my daughter's TAMU Gems event. I got a spot at Holiday RV Park up...
They pretty much just sewed on a new skirt to my existing cover to make up for the 4 inches.
He cut the foam and then I took it back home to make the final measurements/fit/pictures. I want an entirely different seat on it, but that's a winter project and it's going for 97 degrees here this...
I am looking to raise mine about 4" and got the bottom fabbed up in my shop yesterday before the game started. It's heading to the upholstery shop this morning and I am hoping they can turn it around early this week. The old one was in pretty rough shape once I got it opened up.
Still working on the bar adjustments and the mirrors. I finally took the mirror mounts off, reversed sides and flipped them, and they are now real close. I took a short ride down the longest manmade fishing pier in the world, The Texas City Dike. It's 5 miles long and then picked up skyline...
thanks! I pretty much hand built that 'busa to race on. Me and the bride each have a bike and trike. Neither of us can bear to part with our bikes and she has a Spyder and Victory. In fact, she's leaving on a ride with the girls to San Antonio this morning on the Spyder.
I have one on my Gen 1 'busa and really like it. They use a fair amount of power, so be aware of that if you are shifting one at or near idle. Gen 1's have a very weak electrical system. I got around the problems that created for the shifter by replacing the battery every year.
It passed inspection this morning, no problems. One step closer to getting real tags for it. There was some question about whether it was home made, but I had the title and that settled it. Apparently home made has to be inspected by the State.
It's a blast to ride, and I worked on my...
As it turned out, the problem was they were trying to start it in N and the interlock on the transmission locked it out. It fired on the 2nd crank once it went back to park. I spent the day getting it set up for me, and with any luck, will ride tomorrow. I want to get the inspection done...
NFG guy just south of Houston here. Does anyone know where the battery is located on a Cobra trike? It's coming in via haulbikes tomorrow after going cross country and the driver said the battery is down. It would be a lot more fun to drive it off the trailer than push it.
