What did you do to Your Tri-Glide Today?

Also on Saturday - Bristol Hercules engine run up. 14 cylinder sleave valve radial. This was considered a very reliable engine by the crews that flew with them. Here is a pic of the timing gears:

Thrasin Brand Inner Shift Arm Review

I put an extended shifter peg on. That was an inexpensive solution that made shifting easier and for some reason neutral was easier to find.

    Water Pump Issue Checking Circuits

Thanks for the advice. I'll stick with HD stuff for now. All new coolant is in and maybe change it in 2027 spring.

    Water Pump Issue Checking Circuits

Further to Carl / HDUSA1 information on the coolant, I wonder if the same antifreeze / coolant that is in my 5.0 mustang would be a compatible alternative since that is an aluminum motor.

    Water Pump Issue Checking Circuits

In case of interest, here is some cost info. I now have the paper that detailed the ESP cost for the work. The total cost for changing out the coolant pump, rad cap, was $1,137.40 CAD. The cost for coolant pump, rad cap, etc. came to $974.75 CAD. The other cost items were shop supplies...

    Water Pump Issue Checking Circuits

Thanks for the information. The coolant information is interesting and perhaps useful to prevent future occurrences. I hope to pick up my trike today and get some info on paper as to what the warranty cost is. Also remember I'm in Alberta Canada and we pay a very hefty premium for that...

    Water Pump Issue Checking Circuits

Just in the process of having the pump replaced under warranty for my 2021 tri glide. HD service told me that parts and labour would be around $1,400. Glad the previous owner had the ESP.

    Sticker Shock

Outrageous costs have been around for a while. Back in the 70's I flew fire patrol and was around air tankers as my moonlight job. Also had my own airplane. Plugs for the AC were $20 each back then. I had to change out an alternator, that cost $800 for a cheesy Chrysler one because it had...

Awesome alternative to $$$ Harley Trike Saddlebags

Looks interesting. Would the industrial velcro be sturdy enough? How do you get the velcro off if you change your mind? (heat gun and goo gone?)

Anybody buy a Harley Battery lately?

speaking of oil has anyone tried aviation piston engine oil? These engines are predominately air cooled from 4,000 hp to 90 hp. Here is a chart showing readily available grades. The W grade is AD and Viscosity ratings are roughly double that of automotive.

    Which Phone Android or Iphone?

Thanks all for the benefit of your experience and advice. Looks like either one will be okay with no exceedingly significant advantage of one over the other. So I'll probably stick with what we're used to. Thanks again.

Anybody buy a Harley Battery lately?

This is a 500 amp Interstate battery in Canada for harley. You can get lower grade 400 amp batteries for a little over CAD$200. The USD price seems high and on par with CAD$ prices but it might be the HD premium. I have had good service from interstate batteries.

    Which Phone Android or Iphone?

My wife & I have old phones which are no longer supported by some App features we use. So in consideration of my 2021 tri glide and it's system either android auto or apple car play, which is the better way to go? Right now old android phone hooks up with a USB cable to android auto but I...

    Need help

Wow $60 / hr. That would be for me a screaming deal. Its like $120 + /hr where I am. If it is a big job, I figure labour costs will be at least equal to parts and materials.
