What's so great about VW Trikes?
We are fading away... Mostly due to age, cost, & parts availability. I wanted one for fifty years, finally pulled the trigger 4 years ago, not selling anytime soon, just too much fun! The fact that I can fix it is a big plus.- kerryb

Oil viscosity change volume?
1970 type 1 motor with dual port heads. Up to now I have run 10w40 oil. I would like to change to 20w50 oil. If the engine holds 3.2 quarts, but we only put in 2.6 at an oil change, how does this affect my new oil? It would be diluted, am I being a worry-wart? Thanks for your understanding...- kerryb

wheelie bar ideas
These are the wheeliebars on the back of Wilma. They bolt on to tabs that are welded to the roll cage. When I made the trailer hitch, I made it to bolt to the same tabs.- kerryb

Wil-Mac wouldn't fit on the insurance card...So she's named Wilma...officially! I have a good friend with a BIG truck and a race car trailer who kindly took me to Pa. to bring her home. Wilma gets a new home.
The insurance company named her for me. They didn't have enough space on the card for Wil-Mac, so I'm the proud new owner of "Wilma" the 1979 Wilmac trike. rebuilt 1600cc dual port, with what feels like a freeway flyer irs transaxle (maybe its the big tires), new Harley wide glide front end...- kerryb

New guy in Buffalo, shopping for vw trike
I'm shopping the northeast for a vw trike. Have several prospects in my price range. Is a Wil-mac any better than the rest, or just well known due to volume produced? I think I would prefer a longer, raked out fork, but not sure the "style" is worth what I would give up in turning radius or...- kerryb
