    Post Your VW Trike Pics

That looks like a really nice home built trike using a VW Carmen Ghia. Maybe a Honda Goldwing front end and fairing?

Maybe take time to recover for a couple days, the trike has been waiting for you ,it can wait a little longer.:)

Good job! While I was looking at your pictures I kept thinking it looks sinister. It would make me nervous if I saw it in my rearview mirror.😟

You did a really good job on the front end. Besides better steering I'll bet it will ride smoother over the bumps with the shocks and longer travel.

My dad's collage of HyBird1 build pics. Notice fenders...

He really was before his time with the gas and electric power. That's a good looking body too. I also like the low swoopy body one where he has to adjust the handle bars.

Are you trying to drive these old eyes crazy? At least with Where's Waldo he was wearing a brightly colored shirt.:) Your front end is really looking good with the paint.

This might be a crazy idea but your handlebars are kind of long. With light pressure on the grips does it pull constantly to the right. What I'm trying to say is could it be your handlebars are just off center a little and as you ride you're trying to center them causing it to go to the right?

I don't know if it matters but keep in mind that the fender and braces will move with every bump the tire hits. Heavy = more reaction and maybe more chance to crack? I like the look of the rebar too. I just realized I was thinking you meant 1 piece of rebar that is 2 1/2" in diameter. Did you...

Hi Bob, on page 2 on the pictures of how I mounted my shocks you can see what I did with my fender. I mounted it right on the rocker, the front with the strut and the back bolted to the loop around the back of the tire. It moves with the rocker and wheel so the distance never changes. I left a...

    Show off something you made

I couldn't find another thread like this, if there is please point me in that direction. This is to show us something besides trikes you made. I mess around a little with metal sculpture. I used railroad spikes for the body.

Will cutting 1/8" off help or hurt setting the preload on your neck bearings? On the wheel bearings, do you have a local store that sells bearings and seals? I have one near me and it's nice to be able to look at them before you buy. They carry name brand stuff ( Timken, etc. ) that's not too...

That sounds like a good plan. The notches will index the top of your legs and give a little more support.
