That crossbar likely provides much of the strength and structural integrity for the outrigger. You mention a "manual". Does it name what type outrigger system? I would DEFINITELY not cut that bar as the outrigger will become unsafe. Buy the correct size tire.
Not sure which trike kit you refer to or understand what bar you are considering modifying. Explain and perhaps post pictures of the bar. Welcome to the site!
I am not fond of Dr. Pepper; regular or diet. Many years ago when my wife and I were playing golf at Kelly AFB golf course, we were really thirsty (hot day) and there was only one vending machine out on the back 9. It ONLY had Dr. Pepper and the missus almost threw up when I bought a can for...
A few years back I had a 97 GL1500 Roadsmith conversion and the rear brakes were wooden and not effective. I contacted Roadsmith and was given an alternate brake disk w/part number and can't recall if they sent me some or I went to an autoparts store and bought them but the alternate pads were...
Stopping distance, apart from the number and surface area of the brakes is still bound by the laws of physics. Consider that a trike is a lot heavier than its two wheel cousins and a heavy object will not stop as fast but more braking with 3 wheels has to be added to this equation. I have...
I think Medina Lake must be a bit of a disappointment with little water. Are you in an RV? I live about 2 miles from the "lake" or what used to be the lake before the drought.
I was a member of the Venturers at one time; bought a new 2001 RSV and Don Nelson was president as I recall. I later became a ride-in leader and club chaplain. After I sold the Venture a few years later I lost interest in the club and dropped my association. Here we are at a ride-in in Alpine...
That is odd... that seems to be Yamaha up front but don't see an engine so the engine may be hiding behind the passenger seat? Perhaps a VW engine? If so, would expect a little more open to the air. Perhaps someone of the smarter folks can take a stab.
I had an old VW bug back in the 80s. That was the last cage where I worked on the engine. I had a timing light, feeler gauges and it was no harder than working on a vintage motorcycle. You had to get down on your back to adjust the valves but could sit in a lawn chair behind the engine to do...
Missus is an Elvis fanatic fan. A few years ago we decided to ride the Natchez Trace up to Tupelo to see Elvis birthplace and then on to Memphis. Not much traffic and it was summer and hot. The Natchez Trace is straight line driving and SLLLLLOW. (40 or 45 mph as I recall) and the bugs were...
