Agree with sticksfgt. My understanding is that there is a post on the back of the gold strike plate that recesses into the swingarm shaft to give strength to the peg setup. I think the swingarm shaft is hollow on the original goldwing and allows the peg post to be installed. On the CSC...
Thanks for the info ! I am in northeast Ohio near Mentor. However, my local dealers don't seem very "Wing focused" in the service department. I am willing to travel to use a good dealer. I am also worried about the dealers ability to deal with the CSC auxiliary fuel tank.
