    Stator Plug Leak

Once I was cleaning and I “disturbed” that stator grommet just enough to make it start leaking. Aarrggh. No good way to fix it, other than take the primary apart and replace stator, grommet is part of it. I wasn’t about to simply try cleaning and reassembly. Bottom line, be careful around that...

    What happened to customer service?

Y’all may have seen my post entitled Pow Bang when starting hot. After much research I decided the compensator was worn out. Took things apart, yes the 3 “spokes” on the compensator were missing a lot of meat. Plenty of metal in the primary oil, which had 6,000 miles on it. Bought a new...

    Pow! Bang! when starting hot

2011TG, motor is stock except for the usual air cleaner and exhaust and Power Commander. Lately when starting hot she backfires, starter kicks out, have to try again. Seems like it happens after it’s good and hot, today traffic was heavy at the ferry dock. Shut it off when I got to waiting...

    Seat Bolt?

Not sure what to tell you about the front mount, but I found this rear seat bolt from Custom Dynamics. You can tighten it with your fingers, no screwdriver needed. It's easier to get lined up and started.

    New Harley Custom Color or......

Gee, those wheels look familiar...I bought the front one as a package, wheel, tire, rotors, all mounted. $1299. It was either Dennis Kirk or J&P. The rear wheels were $800 ea, then I bought the Goodyear Comfortreds to go on them. I did the 15" rears instead of 18" so there would be a little...

    painted inner fairing

I had Fairing Exchange do mine in Cave Creek during AZ Bike week 2017. Took about an hour. They were not very busy, no waiting. The guy that helped me said that they were not doing as many inner fairings in Arizona as they would typically do at Daytona, so their trip west was hardly worth it...

John Maxwell Discusses the new 2019 Tri-Glide

I had Fairing Exchange swap out my inner a couple years ago in Cave Creek during AZ Bike Week. They did it in about an hour while we watched the bull riding at Annie's Saloon. They were set up right in front of it. They told me that they always did good in Daytona, but weren't selling many...

    2018 tri glide aluminum bumper

Kevin, your bumper is cool. I wanted to keep things clean, but still felt I needed something resembling a bumper, and needed a bit more black on the ass end. I used some black reflective vinyl. It's black in the daytime, but in headlights it lights up kind of gray-white.

    Big Wheel Trike

Wow, $6K? Must include labor. But yeah, those trees are expensive, $879. $300 for fender. got a package deal on the front wheel, rotors, tire, all mounted, it was $1200. Then the rear wheels were $800 each, and I put new tires on them, another $300. Goodyear assurance at 22psi. Nice ride. I...

Harley Tank rubs Groove into Screamin Eagle 10MM Plug Wire!

I read the thread on the HD Forum, there were a few questions, I can answer a couple. The coils fit in a rubber "grommet" that then fits into the finned housing, so the coils can wiggle around a little, and they are somewhat isolated from the direct engine vibration. There is no extra weight on...

    Bars as in handle

I did these, Yaffe 10" Monkey Bars. Could use a bit more pull-back, but hey, they look good.;) They are fairly wide, 37", so they give good leverage. That's important for those of us on trikes... I set aside a weekend when the wife was working, spent a couple days on the project. I did the...
