    Water Pump.....again

At about 12 k my water pump took a dump. Then at about 54.5 K. Within days of the last replacement the temp and engine light came on and threw the same DIAG code. Back to the shop. The good thing......Mobile Bay Harley came to my house and picked it up. Good crew there.

    To All Our Vets...

I have been blessed with a job where I work on new construction DDGs. A week ago I sailed out of Pascagoula on DDG-114 headed for Mayport, FLA. The interaction with the crew was great. Food......ok. LOL The sunsets........unequal to any from shore, but any sailor knows that. Good times ...

    Primary Chain Tensioner

At what point do you know it needs to be replaced? Mileage? Noise? Poor shifting? I ask because I'm at 52K miles and there seems to be a clicking noise from that area when I go backwards. Shifts a bit sluggish too. Part II...... If it needs to be replaced, stock or after market? Part...

    To All Our Vets...

I retired from the Navy back in 2005. Since then I took a short job as a security guard, bad pay and crappy hours. For 7 years I worked at the shipyard in Pascagoula where we build DDGs, LPDs, LHAs, and Coast Guard cutters. About 5 years ago I rolled over to a company that deals only with the...

    1.5" front tank lift !

Well, I dropped the bomb and did a tank lift a week and a half ago. 1.5" on the front only (at this point). 2 pieces of inch wide flat s/s stock, drilled a couple holes, black paint, a bit of hardware, and a dab or 4 of locktite. Total investment.....it was all stuff in the shed. Works...
