'91 HD 883 Hugger DNA conversion (Pt. 1)
The service tech I talked with said it was 95 lbs. That would be #17 on the parts list.- brattrike

Servicar rear end with box or cargo
If you mount the box to the rear end it'll shake itself to death, including anything you carry in it. Mount the box to the frame so it can have the benefits of your suspension. I welded up a subframe that replaced the fender struts. The subframe also carried the directionals, rear lights and tag.- brattrike

Thanks to all for the compliments. This was a fun build that turned out really well. The trike has ~20k miles on it so far with no, knock on wood, problems. '91 HD 883 Hugger DNA conversion (Pt. 1)
I rescued this bike from a backyard 10 years ago where it had been sitting under a tarp for 3 years. Threw on new sprockets, chain, rebuilt the carb and master cylinders, replaced the rotors, replaced the spoke wheels with 9 spoke HD mags, 18" in the rear and 19" up front with new rubber. I installed a DNA swingarm and axle on a '91 HD Hugger 8 years ago and it has been flawless. It's not a kit, you'll have to do some welding, wiring, brake system designing and other fabricating, but you can make it what you want. Tricurious. Naked pics?
Not what you think!! I've yet to see a pic of a stock HD Triglide or Freewheeler without the rear bodywork on. I'm curious as to how HD set up the suspension, exhaust, brakes..etc. and what the stock HD axle looks like. I've tried Googling the pics with no luck and have looked at the HD parts...- brattrike
