TC cuts the power down, so the drive wheels does not spin when they lose traction. It does not give you anymore traction going down the road. If need be, TC will applied brakes to the spinning wheel so the opposite wheel will try to turn.
You be better off setting the table level. This way when doing work on it or putting accessories on it you are not guessing if its straight and lined up right.
There is no drain on the differentials for the Harleys or other with chain or belt drive. They have a grease fitting that you put about six pumps in ever 10,000 miles.
