What does the flu feel like? Its been so many years since I had it I'm not sure but whatever just hit me is some seriously nasty stuff....

Are you sure you didn't catch a computer virus?
Flu might be fever, sore throat, lack of energy, general yuckiness. I would recommend Niquil. Especially for alcohol content. Will help with sleep. Maybe musinex D liquid. I recommend staying in bed and reading two Trike Talks per day (or minute). Toast and tea work wonders.
Dr. Bozo:qpnmt:
P.s. Trust me, I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.

Comes on sudden and some Flu symptoms include a fever, body aches, tiredness, sore throat and cough. Basically feel like you have been hit by a truck!!

Feel better

You'll definitely feel like you've been hit by a truck. But it may not be a respiratory flu; you might be hugging a bowl…. or sitting on one….
Feel better quickly!

Flu, like the common cold, responds well to Southern Comfort. About 1/2 dozen shots should help. You won't be cured mind you, but all pain & give-a-damn goes away. ThumbUp :D

Get better soon!

Been a while, but you hurt all over, fever, headaches, no energy. Miserable. Knocking on wood right now that I don't catch a dose. Navy used to make everyone take the shot before you could get paid. When they had to take me off the flight schedule for two weeks at a time, they excused me.

Yep, that's exactly it. Came on overnight...really bad sore throat last night, plus throw in a headache, tired, knee joints achy when I walk, coughing today....this ain't fun. Marge made a Rite Aid run so we'll see what she's got.

I've never gotten flu shots, my mom brought us up not believing in them, you know moms are never wrong.... but I've seen the light. I will be getting one from now on.

flu shots are a sometimes short solution, but not a good one. if you hardly ever get the flu your immune system is in good health, and coping with what comes its way. 2 things to think about some flu vaccines are actually a mild strain of the flu which is supposed to activate the immune system. but this may also make you more prone to the full blown flu while your body is adjusting to the vaccine...many people get the flu shortly after taking the vaccine...
those vaccines that presumably attack the flu virus arent good in that your immune system can get lazy as it doesnt have to go to battle.. lazy soldiers get fat and dont fight so well.

Flu is an illness where men can lie back and have their carer (ones partner) running around daft after them. Seriously it is worth having the flu jab (shot) even if you have already had the flu. Get better soon mate..

I never had the FLU, So i don't know what it feels like.. And i never had the shots.. Well maybe back in 65??? [Army]
I figure if they scare everyone else into getting the shots, They won't catch it 'so in turn i won't catch it from them...:D...

I think I'm going to the Immediate Care place to get a shot in the A$$...need some relief!

There's a whole bunch of strains of flu so the symptoms will not be exactly the same. That being said, flu shots do not prevent all flu, just the one the authorities guess will be the major strain. I've been doing flu shots for years now and they seem to help...

A couple of years ago
We had a nasty strain going around
Dr gave us pain killers of all things
When the wife and I got over it after
Five days in bed, I was very glad he had.
We felt really awful when the pills wore off

I have gotten a flu shot every year since I started driving school bus and parents shove their sick lil kids out the door to share with everyone else. Then I was volunteer on the Rescue Squad and got to work on sick people so needed shots(or maybe to be shot) to survive that. Flu shots are a gamble some years the CDC isn't sure which strain of flu will be strongest. So it depends on how many people you contact, if you stay at home then the chance is slim that you will catch it. But if you contact a lot of people in different places the chances are greater. And I DIDN'T sleep at a Holiday Inn. Sorry Bozo, you scared me.

One shot in the butt and two prescriptions later, hopefully I will start feeling better.

The nurse said drop your drawers so thats where it went. It was a steroid shot I think.

Ha ha!!!! She { or He } just wanted to check out the certified Man Card Holder's A$$ !!!!

Hey good point Trent.....I suppose I AM sort of maybe semi-semi-semi famous. Nurse was a 23ish blonde, sweet and friendly southern bama, homegrown style gal. Surely she surfs the internet a lot...so just perhaps she's actually heard of Zook and his "Certified Man-Card" holder status...Maybe she just figured a quick peek at the Zookster's tush would not seem suspect...ha-ha! :D

You said it Brother! I am reasonably sure that out of the 637 readers logged on to TTalk right now, at least 1/3 of them are sweet 20 something year old southern gals staring dreamily at the Z-Man avatar, and trying to figure out how to get him to drop trou!!!! :)

Always get flu shots. 75% of the time I get the flu. So they do work, you get the flu. Missed it last year, didn't the year before. Lost 30#s with it the year before. Worst flu I ever had.

Get well soon Zook! My wife and I are retired and travel a lot. We get the vaccinations recommended by our doctor, and so far we have been healthy. Cannot recall the last time we had the flu.

That's not real re-assuring. If I got the flu ONCE after a flu shot that would wind it up for me!

A lot of folks do get the shots but after reading Rod69s post...I'm having second thoughts about the flu shots.
