I joined tt in feb. wanting to trike my '13 FLHRC and 3 weeks ago contacted a builder. a week ago I was at my local HD dealer and saw a new 2016 T/G on the floor and it latched on to me and followed me out the door (dealer virtually gave me what I paid for my road king 2 1/2 yrs ago.) 700 miles and 3 days later I am extremely happy with my purchase. here is what I need some help with I only have about 500. to spend on upgrades right now and would like some suggestions was thinking some kind of air breather maybe lift kit and handle bars (bit higher and back a little i'm 5'11" 280lb but seem to leaning forward a bit)any and all suggestions/ideas appreciated things I could do myself are best any extra money is going in the tank to ride! thanks all, daryl.

I would wait and see what you feel you are missing the most.

Air breather is last.

Hwy pegs would be one of the first things and seat position. Not everybody is the same and has certain driving setups.

Everything else can come later.

:Agree: Yup, comfort first. As mentioned, hiway pegs are a good start. You mentioned bars, it might be that just rotating the stock ones back a bit will work for you. Otherwise, there are plenty of choices in that area. This may be sacrilege to true believers of the MoFoCo, but you can save a pile of cash by going aftermarket accessories rather than gen-u-wine HD, and it adds to the variety of accessories for your ride. Check places like Ebay and Craigslist for good deals on farkles. A lot cam be saved by using good condition used parts. Check with your local dealer for savings on take-off parts If you are friendly with the folks in the parts dept. they will know what will fit, even if Harley claims it won't.

seen a lot of talk on the DK custom lift kit will go that route.

Start with the lift kit.... That will give you the most bang for the buck...ThumbUp

what first

head pipes and exhaust will have to wait for a year but was looking at dk customs outlaw 606 system to let it breathe. site says it works good with everything else left stock? should I get a tuner? before doing exhaust and your 2 cents is worth 3 here in Canada so very appreciated.
