Trike Wannabee

Greetings;

I own a 2009 Suzuki Bouelvard C50 that I Love and want to trike it. I've joined this forum to read about other who have triked their ride or purchased a trike and how it went. Right now I'm thinking of purchasing a Tow Pac Instatrike. Anyone have any ideas or comments they will be most welcomed.

As a previous owner of a Volusia/C50 don't trike it. Not enough motor or gears for a trike especially two up. Yea there are some here who will argue with that but for every one there are two who agree with me. You need something at 1300 and up. The c/50 as a lot of Buzz at 70 MPH interstate speed. It needs a 6th gear. My VTX on the other hand has 5 speed and I don't use 5th until 60 MPH. Avoid training wheels if at all possible.

I triked my '06 HD FLHTI in 2012 with a Daytona kit from CSC. The installer makes a big difference, so be sure to shop them as well. It was a great experience for me, and I would do it again. Good luck with your project and keep us posted on what's happening!

If your Bent on a C50 there is a Volusia for sale in the classifieds for 6500.00. Buy it and sell yours. you'll be ahead of the game

Wow your Boulevard C50 looks just like mine which I named Frogger....green/white combo. By training wheels I believe you mean something like the Tow Pac Instatrike. Hmm I was looking into the Honda VTX 1300. Thanks for the honesty of your reply.

That's a 2003 Volusia carbarated. Changed to C50 in '05 Fuel injected

Hello from Oklahoma
the C50 is about the same as 650 vstar my wife had a Tow-Pac kit about 5k new 2k used worked well try not to take it off road. it will take 2hrs to install
the only reason she got rid of it is she bought a 1800 gold wing trike
