Tri-Glide Exhaust

Has anyone installed an exhaust setup with a true dual head pipe (2 into 1) and only 1 slip on muffler?
I know it will look a little weird but I'm thinking about it.

True duals are individual pipes not connected at all. They are not 2 into 1. Your stock system works a lot like a 2 into 1 with little flow on the left side until needed. There are some very short and VERY LOUD 2 into 1s that may fit your trike or you could just block off the crossover pipe. Tell us what you are trying to accomplish.

I have always been told that the straighter exhaust flows the better. I'm just wondering if the bends to the left side were removed if there would being any benefit.

How could the crossover pipe be blocked off, weld a cap in place?

Yes, that’s why the right side flows better, it’s straighter, larger diameter, and shorter. (The path of least resistance.) Think of the left, more restrictive, side as an overflow that will benefit you when needed, as your RPMs increase.

You would have to rig a cap or plug to block the crossover. I see no positive outcome doing that.

Consider some sweet sounding slip ons and maybe lose the cat. Good luck with your decision. Ride safe.
