Trailer followed me home

Great looking trailer! Will hold a lot of eggs.

Sunman

If I'm not home on Easter Sunday it will have to hold more than eggs! It was funny pulling it home, I had to drop the tailgate so I could see the trailer...too funny

And Thanks.....jc

As getting a straight answer from anyone {HD etc.} is unlikely ~ I need suggestions. I'm thinking no more that 25 lbs. on the tongue? I'm about 240 and Wife 135....Progressive "Trike" 444's @ 13.5 inches. Seem a good number? Thanks

I use a fish scale to measure the tongue weight...After the trailer is loaded up. Rule of thumb is no more than 10% of the total trailer weight (including cargo) should be on the tongue, but at least 25 lbs.

Also, make sure your hitch is at a level where the tongue is sloping slightly down. This will reduce the chance of trailer waggle.... like in the pic below-

Now that's what I'm talking about! Thanks much Kevin!

Another thing with keeping the tongue down a bit, I never pull a trailer completely empty. If nothing else throw a bag of kitty litter or salt in the trailer. An empty trailer & a gust of wind from nowhere or a passing truck can raise heck with ya !

Having trailer race cars and just about everything else you can name across the country and was always been told you must have somewhere between 9%-18% of your combined weight on the tongue. Any less would you get trailer sway.

So when I'm pulling my BushTec I figure total trailer weight loaded is 280#. I make sure I have at least 34#on the tongue. These same calculations are in my BushTec manual.

Who is Greenville, SC is making them?

This is the link for the Trailer:

http://theusatrailerstore.com/lumina...cycle-trailer/

The "distributor" is located in Greenville, SC ~ They are the selling arm for Tow Blazer Trailers that are made by some Holding Company....Best I can do.

The trailer I got is offered @ $1499 with free shipping. I found mine near me (100 miles} in like new condition with a Chrome spare for $400 less. It's a big trailer...but only weighs in @ 190 lbs. The smaller one was 170 lbs. I was fine with the big boy - jc
