On another forum someone asked about how we pack our TP on long trips. Thought I'd post how we do that here with some pics-
I think because the TP is larger on the 14 & Up, we are putting a bit more in there, leaving us a bit more space in the trunk.
In the following pic are things we just leave in there all the time. Cold weather gloves, sunscreen, eye drops, flashlight, Gerbing controllers, wipes, extra sunglasses, cigs, etc.
This pics is all the stuff we empty out of the TP each night, all in a pile, ready to go back in.
Full size laptop computer, Milepost book, HD Map Book, important papers, bag of food, wine or whiskey, brush, purse, Gerbing jackets when not being worn, same with long sleeve shirt and hoody for Mary, water, computer and device wires, Mary's embroidery project, and misc. other stuff we "need".
Computer, papers, maps, Milepost goes in first-
Purse, whiskey, embroidery, wires, brush are next-
Food bag, Gerbing jackets, hot weather neck wraps, are next-
Shirt, wires, sundry bags, and water are next-
A shot of the same from the side-
Still quite a bit of room in there not being used!
Mary strapping the cooler and bag with misc. items in it on the TP rack. When we get the gas can we will be fitting all the stuff in the black bag into the trunk and TP, and the gas can will go in its' place on the TP rack.
That's when it will take a bit more time to pack each morning, making the most use of all the space.
