Spot lights

Was at the shop yesterday getting the trike serviced and had them program the
spot light or driving light to stay on while high or low beam light is on. I like all the
light I can get if I have to ride at night. No charge for this at my shop.

I like the idea of having as much light as possible, not only for me to see better but to also be better seen by other drivers on the road. But I knew that I would be riding with other riders who have expressed that they do not appreciate when someone behind them or coming towards them ride with the auxilliary/fog lights on. So HD installed a convenient switch so I could turn them ON and OFF at will.

U can still turn them off and on. Its u just have the option to have
them on when on high or low beam if u want.

I have a switch that turns on / off the spot lights. i also installed LED's on my turn signals that stay on in white and turn yellow when you use the turn signal.

Sorry  I thought you meant you had them program your bike so the auxiliary lights would be on all of the time. In stock configuration the auxiliary lights will only work in low beam, and will turn off when you toggle into the high beam.

I guess it might be kind of nice to be able to have both the high beam and the auxiliary lights on while riding through the twisties on a lonely road late at night.

That is pretty cool, how did you do that? Is it just different bulbs?

Yes, very simple plug and play. Replacement bulbs that fit inside the turn signal light housing. It's a kit I got at the HD dealer. The LED bulbs are in a circle (ring) on a disk that fit inside the light. When on they are White, when in turn signal mode they turn Yellow. $79.00 for both lights. They are Very Bright

Thanks. I could not find the kit that you mentioned on the HD site or in my 2015 catalog. So I went out and took the TS lens off my TG to see what bulb they use. It is not marked, but it appears to be a conventional Stanley 1157 double element bulb. Then I found these on line that stay white until you flip the turn signal on then they flash amber. I suppose these would work with clear or smoke lenses.

Check with a shop near u and they can program it for u. All the newer bikes and trikes have the daymaker lights in them as far as I know. Could be wrong.
