soft ware upgrade 1.19.01

Actually you loaded 1.19.0 the small line that appears to the right of the 0 is just to separate two fields of information. There was another thread on this topic as well.

You can go to the H-d.com and look under owners, then check 6.5 radio and down below it should tell you what the upgrades were.

good luck

GPS still flaky

I had a major failure of my GPS. It started showing me on roads that were miles away from my actual location. I downloaded the new software and was surprised how easily it upgraded when I plugged the thumb drive into the usb port on the bike.
I tried the GPS in the garage and it appeared to work. However, the next morning, the problem was still there.
I talked to another owner at the dealers today who had a similar problem. When the dealer reflashed with the new software, it seemed to fix the problem. That's my next step......

Thanks, that's just what my son said.

You are so right. My son (also a Harley rider) said the same thing. In my dealer's defense, he volunteered to reflash and help me with the problem. I've had no problem with them wanting to "do the right thing".

Since I had the problem before I upgraded to the new software, I'm wondering if there is a defect in the memory that stores the GPS data.

I'll post the results.

My problem was that I don't read directions!:gah:

Actually found out through trial, error and asking on the forums that you have to unzip the downloaded file; it will give you an .iso file and a .txt file. Place these on the flash drive, turn on the bike (I use the accessory position), plug the flash drive into the bike harness, and the system will detect it and prompt you to start the installation.

I have done 2 upgrades already with no issues.

My dealer found the root cause of my gps problem. The wire from the antenna to the radio was pinched to the frame (as installed by the factory). It eventually wore through. Replaced the antenna and it works great.
