Can the fairing power port be used as a cigarette lighter also?

I can't seem to find any discussion anywhere on this.

If it's just a power port ,then no lighter. It will melt. If it has just a rubber flap to cover it , then it's definitely for acc power only.

they use to be cig lighter some years back..I know now they don't had that feature to the fairing

In 14+ models they changed the cig lighter in the fairing to be a power port. According to the manual it will not work if you plug a cig lighter into it.

I have been running a single flush mount usb plug-in in my for three years with no problem that charges my phone.

My 2013 still has the cigarette lighter, but I believe they changed to power port in 2014

MY 11 came with a cigarette lighter, But i use it to power my I-pod, and to charge my cell phone...
I did pop the lighter in a few times and it works to light Cigars.....

Yes. Use H-D P/N:

Cigarette Lighter and Socket Kit 69200605

The instructions say you have to remove the speaker housing but that is inaccurate. You will need a pair of needle nose pliers to remove (unscrew) the power port. You will have to remove the front of the fairing but that only takes 5 minutes.
